Order of the custom fields

Reordering the additional fields takes another object in which those fields must be inserted in the desired order. So ordering them makes anyway the site "slower".

You could take my example and make yourself the modifications in order to not use plugins...but it took me 2-3 months...and I must update manually in order to not lose the modifications.
But I did not made yet the ordering of the additional fields.

Unfortunately it's not currently possible, but we're working to include it in the next version.

5 years later and still not included... seems like osclass dev team gave up its customer and care only about $$$

There is a solution in the forums that needs a new column in the db table and some changes in code. If you search it, you can use it, but you need to insert the order via phpmyadmin in db 1,2,3 etc.

There is plugin for that done by the Master teseo himself and I can confirm it works like supposed to.

I bought this plugin and works but then mess the data a lot so had to uninstall it. OSCLASS should have implemented this feature in core same way they've done with Categories.

why should there be a plugin to sort custom fields when Osclass said will add this feature? Other developers seen osclass neglecting this request and they released plugin milking money from osclass members.

Too many obvious short comings and paid solutions.  This was probably never the intention of the original designers of osclass.   Open source is open source.  The greater good of the internet should prevail.  I belong to many forum and have made improvements where I could......for free....for the next guy. Personal gain is not in the best interests of a free and open internet.  I am a regular contributor of free clipart.  Yes it took a lot of mine time to create it.  No, I do not expect the next guy to waste time reinventing the wheel and yes, its free for everyone else to use as they see fit.  Do the right thing and take down price requirements.
