hey

I think i just made a new discovery.

When I blocked osclass.org -- it does not seem to block the plugin and themes market on the admin panel.

But on the web server the ip for osclass.org (which starts with 54.???.???.???) definitely blocks the osclass.org website.

Even the sub-domain -- http://market.osclass.org/ is blocked.  So i am not sure how the market plugin and themes are pulling the information.

Very odd.

I kept it blocked in case there was more testing you want me to do.

Sorry disregard my last discovery.

Eventually it the plugin and theme market did stop pulling information when i paged further down.

But it was able to give an error message and timeout as oppose to just stalling.

Not sure if this information helps.

I guess i'll have to chalk this up to just bad timing.  If it happens again, hopefully I can do a remote session for you guys to look at the server.

* update: I have replied to your initial response, not subsequent posts *

Sorry, I just don't have any more ideas right now, only to check your IIS and PHP error logs and look for some clues (but chances are you will get some generic timeout error when you hit pre-configured limit).

Market pages do pull things via market api dynamically, and maybe there is some issue there team is not aware of yet, maybe even tied with specific conditions that needs to be met, don't know really.

In any case, keep it monitoring for the time being.

hey dev101

thanks for the reply.

I'll check my IIS and PHP logs.  I completely forgot to even ask if there was an API being used.

Just out of curiosity, should I add that extra line of code from the Git site you showed me?

And I'll let you know when it happens again.

Thanks again for helping.

Won't do any harm.
