This weekend i switched two of my multi-country Osclass installations from subdomain per country to normal. After one year of switching (using wildcard DNS), the results were very poor and the complications many.
Mainly due to the fact that the Advanced feature of Osclass to use Country,City, User etc as subdomains is not working well, it is not finished and as Osclass team posted a while ago "nobody uses it and we don't improve/fix anything of that". So it is abandoned.
So now we switched to normal Osclass. And i'm trying to figure out how to make a multi-country more user-friendly. Because it is not.
1. I'm looking for a way to make that
crazy url of Search more friendly and meaningfull.
Example:
https://www.website/search/country,BG is for Bulgaria country.
https://www.website.com/search/country,NO is for Norway country.
https://www.website.com/search/sOrder,dt_pub_date/iOrderType,desc/country,AT/region,737827/city,AlbertslundIs there a way to make that more user and seo friendly ? I haven't found any
2. Is there a way for the user to SELECT a country (from a dropdown or something) and then only view/act in THAT country ?
I do understand that no such topics are discused here because the majority of people posting are newbies that have not a single idea what they want/are doing.
If anybody serious has researched this problem and has found some ways to improve all that, please reply.
IMHO those are some of the importand features and improvements that Osclass team should address. Bug fixes are NOT enough any more.Thanks !
