Free Avatar Plug-In

I just downloaded the free avatar plug-in and it showed these instructions (which I'm assuming is where it will show an image of the user?)

Please edit your user-profile.php add a name attribute on form tag ex: name="profile"for picture validation.

Where exactly in that file does that go?

Not a very helpful plug-in then. Can anyone recommend another one that actually allows visitors to see the avatar on a profile?
