Title: Newly Listed Items Fail To Show In Index

I am playing around with a new classifieds site and when I upload a new advert it does not show in the index listings of categories.
In addition, if I hover my mouse cursor over a particular sub-category that does not have a listing yet, the URL it shows up but just ends in a #.
Any ideas folks why these new listings don't show in the index?

For example, I have posted item listing in the BOATS section but if you go to the BOATS section it does not show anything other than 0 listings which is not the case.

I am still getting the same issues. I start a new category, make a post and it does not show in the index category. This must be a bug as it does not help anyone wanting to see their new advert.
