[SOLVED] How to limit number of listings for a user?

Hi

Can someone reveal as how we can restrict the number of ads per person. For example, I want to let a user post only one ad for free and for additional ads he/she has to pay.

I am sure this can be done!

usually we use a spam program - sort of the same concept

This is not a spam control I have in mind, it's the previlage whether they are premium or non-premium users.

Just like we limit number of picture uploads, can we not limit number of posts a user could post?
