Not "on top" but "replacing". We need a way to tell if we are on the frontside or the backside, and I think this will do:

Ah, I was trying to see if there was a parameter which you could use being in admin but as far as I can see there is not and nor is there a helper function telling me I'm in back-end so I see why you come up with the url check
