ok, first off there are only so many pages that are public viewed. main, search and item... depending on the function that brought them to one of those pages will dictate what dynamically happens on that page - welcome to the world of php--
so what you want has been done before, but it will take a bit of recoding, and very close attention to directions, read first before trying to implement. you will have to be careful of closing tags and brackets. if the forums are to confusing to understand try here
