Advanced search by car attributes (make, model) returns no results

Dear Forum members,

I am running OS Class 3.6.1 with Bender Black theme 3.1.3, and a Cars Plugin (slightly modified with less attributes) ver. 3.0.2

I have upload around 50 test ads to my website, many of which are for cars (Toyota, Nissan, Audi, etc.).

if in the search bar on the main page I type "Toyota" (for example), the search page returns all ads that have word "Toyota" in title. But here is the problem: when I leave the search bar empty on the advanced search page, and choose "Toyota" make from dropdown menu, the search is supposed to return all ads where seller/user had selected attribute "Toyota", but in my case, the search page gives no results.

I have looked thru the other similar issues here in forum and on github, and had not found any answer or troubleshooting.

I would be grateful if someone could explain me how the search by selecting attribute works and where I am wrong.

Something must be wrong with your modified plugin, I've posted this ad:

Filled the Cars Attributes fields (Марка: Toyota, Модель: Avalon). The ad is shown after validation, but no trace of my Cars Attributes settings.

You may delete the ad after you check.

I suppose the problem is with the modified plugin. For other car ads the filled-in attributes also do not show-up.
Thanks for guidance, I will update this post after I resolve the issue.
