Os class site too slow with more records

Directory site extremely slow. Please help

This is the first time we are using this code to host our directory site

http://gajretail.com/gajsupply/directory/

We have 39,000 records in the directory

It is hosted at one of the top hosting providers and in a virtual dedicated server.

So hosting is not an issue

I just used the default code without any changes

Is there any thing I need to do to optimize in the code in order for the pages to load fast

Few months ago I was doing custom job on site with 40k active listings and it was as fast as empty osclass website, so not sure about your hosting. I would contact them to find out what is issue.

Osclass team was doing some tests while ago with 600k listings and everything worked fine as well.

Your site did not load to me after 3 minutes...

It is a hosting problem or some installation problem. In any case your provider will help you.

Your website is not SLOW, it is NOT RESPONDING at all.

Incorrect installation or missing spec of hosting provider.  Since main domain http://gajretail.com/ is loading well, while sub-domain with /gajsupply/directory/ not loading at all. Meaning, there's no issue in OS class.

Not sure, but GoDaddy is not considered 'top hosting provider' around here.
