what folders and files is the latest items on the front page in?

You should modify oc-content/modern/main.php (theme file of main page)

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Depends o how deep you want to customize your installation, you should modify core files (oc-includes/osclass) but that will make your OSClass installation unable to update to future releases

i've looked at the files. I want to be able to create a completed items link. it dosn't have to show any advance search options. I noticed in the search file it gave those search for highest option. I also noticed the delete function in anther file. What I need is for the files never to get deleated and thus have a completed options. But I need this to be done asap so I can finish my site now. I geuss if I manualy put this in the code I can do it after a update again. can you help? maybe give me the code?
