This did not help me, i tried these and other 'fixes'.
I'm always being sent back to the frontpage of our osclass install.

Do i need to put anything else than the basic url into FB App center?

For app domain we use:
domain.com

For Site URL:
http://www.domain.com/

Should the last one be the register or login url?

I notice my table ck_t_facebook_connect is empty, no reference about this table anywhere, zero google results.

Is it supposed to be empty?

It's normal to be empty if you cannot successfully login with Facebook on your site.
It doesn't work after you do what I mentioned in my earlier post? Cuz it definitely should if you have the original plugin with that modification and if your facebook app is configured properly.

Nope, not working at all. I asked several other people at the office to try too.
I reinstalled, made modifications as mentioned, put the button from the footer (where we had it) to the header etcetera.

We get sent back here, which is any page you came from (be it frontpage or any other content area);

I removed the plugin for now, it is really holding up our launch which we're pretty exited about.

When it is not working even with modification, during developement of your theme you done some errors that block to login, because it works for me on 3.0.x also 3.1.x without any problems

I really wonder what then. We use the modern theme, nothing (much) done other than using a Dutch language.

Hopefully somebody will come up with the golden tip;-)

Edit:
Having said that, could it be i have to change whatever is in channel.html:
src="//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js

to
src="//connect.facebook.net/nl_BE/all.js

?

Try to make new fresh install on your subdomain (test.something.com), use modern theme, install fb connect plugin, make adjustments in code and try it. If it does not work, you probably do not know how to correctly set it.

Its pretty basic, with 16 years experience i'd presume i know how to set something as easy as a few api keys and run it. I might be wrong though;-)

I'll test it when i have a few hours of free time to play around again, unfortunately i have some other work with deadlines breathing down my neck by now, been playing with this quite some time.

Thanks.

Ok. Fresh install. NO mods at all.
Fresh install of the FB plugin with the tweak in oscfacebook.php.

Not working at all, same issue everywhere. I just read a freelancer jobposting about a clients facebook login suddenly not working anymore and that a slight change in FB routine is expected. Could this be the case?

Can ANYbody show me a working version on their own site? ALL websites i visited from this forum of people who said they got it working, did not have it on their site ironically.

I give up for now.

You must have bad modification:
http://sofia.abprofitrade.eu/ - working, v 3.1
http://www.vbazare.sk/ - working, v 3.0

http://www.vbazare.sk/ - working, v 3.0

That works nicely, thanks for showing me. I followed all the exact documentation, no modifications at all on the theme. Installed out of the box. I also have another FB app running that works fine.

I uploaded/installed the FB Plugin, changed the following inside the file abovementioned:
Code: [Select]
                if( Params::getParam('fbc_login') == 'true' ) {
//                if( Params::getParam('fbc_login') !== 'true' ) {
                    return self::$facebook;
                }

As far as i understand, that's all that is needed, besides entering the app key and api in the backend.

Cheers.

Ok, hold on.

Are we talking about the same Facebook plugin? I just clicked your link and i see a 22,50$ price for the plugin. I am using the default os class free one. Am i dumb enough to follow a wrong thread here?

I was kinda hoping it wasn't, then it was just 22,50 to get it over with;-). Now that i have seen how nice it works on your end, i want it more. Its good.

One thing is clear, on my end i get redirected back to our mainpage almost immediately, except for when i am logged out. On your end it actually looked like it was taking time to register.

Either way, i'll mess around a with file permissions a bit and see if that helps.

Thanks for the replies, i appreciate it.
