Footer is missing in my website
« on: February 16, 2014, 08:04:37 pm »
Hi,

I have checked and found that footer is not showing up in my website.

Should I enable it?

If yes, please let me know where and how.

I believe it is because of the change in code that I did as mentioned in the below link.

Hi i'm slightly confused.
Did you amend the original install to get drop down list, or have you put the files back to how they were.
have you a link to your site
have you amended anything else apart from the 2 files

your footer is showing on searching, so in your main.php its missing a footer hook, look at search.php and check against main.php whats missing at the bottom and copy it over if its missing

Thank you for your suggestion, have checked and added the footer code to my main.php

But, where is this html code located for footer as I want to add some more links like Home, About us etc to my footer page and change the wordings "contact" to "Contact Us".

Also,

Please let me know how I can add menus in the top of my website just above the search form in my home page so that the menu bar will show up in all the pages

so is your footer now sorted, if so please mark as SOLVED

with regards to the html code of your request, depends on your theme, if its the standard osclass, then it might still have the footer.php in your theme files, this is where you can add more stuff. The title, contact is in your admin details, you need to change the name in admin.

the last part is going to take you a while, it took me three days, i can rent out my services if you like. ;)
