Impossible to install translation
« on: April 03, 2011, 07:58:34 pm »
Hi everyone, hope someone could help me :)

I just installed the last version of OSClass 2.0RC6 on my private dedicated server (Online.net DEDIBOX with Debian).

Everything is ok, the website is working and admin panel is ok.

I downloaded the french 2.0 translation zip file and i tried to install it.

If i use the "add a language function", i take the zip file and i have an error: 'the zip file is invalid'

I tried with swedish one, same error. I downloaded the french file twice, same error and the zip file is ok using winrar, winzip or windows zip support.

If i upload using FTP protocol the fr_FR directory in /oc-includes/translations/ i can't see the french language in "Manage Language function".

What can i try to solve this problem ?

Friendly

Christophe

if you upload the package to the server and you see it in the correct place, but you can see the language in the admin panel. than you need to input it manually in the db.
open it with phpmyadmin if you have it on you server, than look into the oc_t_locale, insert the new language
it should work after that

good luck

I think this is what I did - I uploaded the french folder to translations/languages, whatever it is called now. And then I went to admin panel, selected the zip file, and hit upload. Since the files were already uploaded, it didn't care that it didn't unzip properly. And then it just added the French item to the database.

BTW, on the item add page, and in the language menu, French should say Français (FR). It shouldn't be in English lol.
