manual updating 2.4.1 to 3.0 > any sql updates required?
« on: August 07, 2012, 06:58:00 am »
My environment is osclass 2.4.1 w/ bcute theme: I could not find a way to run the auto-update from 2.4.1 to 3 in the admin dashboard. When using tools > upgrade > it says congratulations 2.4.1 is "already up to date"! Is 3.0 officially released as an upgrade? If yes, then why is the auto-upgrade not working?

If I want to manually upgrade from 2.4.1 to 3.0, I can overwrite necessary files...but, are there any mySql updates needed? Thanks.

Hi Maxo,

Yep 3.0 has been officially released. I am not sure why it is saying 2.4.1 is the current version. Anyways to do a manual upgrade just copy in all the files from the 3.0 zip just make sure if you are using the modern theme you take a backup of it. Once you have the files transfered over osclass will automatically update the sql as you will be copying over the new sql and upgrade file.
