I have been trying to install Osclass 3.1.1 without success. The installation halts at Step 2 - Target.
At Step 2 when I fill in information and click Next the page just returns itself. I have tried to install it on GoDaddy shared servers and on Network Solutions as well, but the result has been the same each time.
I tried to limit the location information and tried changing file/folder permissions as suggested by trains58554 in another thread, but to no avail.
Can someone suggest a way out here, with clear instructions? Or if someone could guide on how this problem could be debugged and the cause identified?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Repare31,

Thanks for your response. But I suspect the issue is related to folder permissions, only that I cannot figure out what permissions on which folders will make this installation work.

Thanks!

did you allow direct access in additional options while creating a database?

did you allow direct access in additional options while creating a database?

I am also have a problem getting past Step 2: on the installation of OC 3.2.1 on GoDaddy hosting.

I have copied the correct godaddy "LocalHost" from my godaddy MySQL DB setup info but noticed that the two db options of 5.0 & 5.5 do not allow "Direct Access"!!

Is this my problem, and is there a work around if so?

Have done some searching and not sure this is a resolved issue in the wild.

Guys just skip "godaddy" like hosters.

There are PLENTY of other good choices. Why on earth deal with GoDaddy ?
