Title: Fake Error Message - Osclass database server is not available
Post by: mashayo on May 23, 2017, 03:42:15 pm
The message "Osclass database server is not available. Need more help? (http://forums.osclass.org/)" does not reflect reality to some cases and may be misleading. I am saying this because, I get this error message when I open my site www.myste.com but when I open www.mysite.com/index.php the message disappear and the website works fine. Also the admin page (www.mysite.com/oc-admin/index.php) works fine. This suggests that the source of the problem is somewhere else. I am still working on the solution. The problem started after the release of OC 3.7.3, I didn't want to update my website because it was working very fine before the release of OC 3.7.3. The error message forced me to update but the error continue to show up even after updating the website to OC 3.7.3.

In short, all pages of the website including the admin pages works very fine except www.mysite.com which gives the error message.

No this is a real error about database. I highly doubt your site works 100% right as you say above.

I see you had other strange errors in your site:

https://forums.osclass.org/general-help/warning-undercode-()-cannot-modify-header-line-192-and-line-1740-35384/msg148401/#msg148401

so this one also is from changes you did or your hosting setup.

Does this happens 100% of the time you access your domain? Did you modify .htaccess file or is there any .htaccess file in the path?
This is very strange because the error is triggered from the db connection class, which is called from everywhere, there should not be url distinction

I am also facing same problems on my several domains ( Osclass database server is not available. ), of course this error shown sometimes, not always...
I suppose that this is caused from server side.

100%. It could be caused by limits on your hosting plan. Limits of db connections, entry processes, bandwidth with the database server.

Surely not caused by Osclass.

Suggestion for that is of cource a better hosting provider and PHP 7.
