You should configure your e-mail settings in the oc-admin: General Settings > Mail server

Hi coolaust,

Glad to hear it's working for you, did you have to install another program? As far as I know, WAMP Server comes without a mail server.

I just uploaded it to temporary real hosting, and got it worked out there, through cpanel.

Hi We_Ezer,

Most hosting comes with a mail server, no need to pay for an additional one (except if your site is a high traffic site).

Some actions in Osclass require to send a message to the user, for example if they forgot their password, only way to retrieve it is that Osclass send to their email a link to change the password. Alerts and subscription also require emails to work. Listing validation (if enabled) is done via email also. And a few other notifications (new user, new ad, new comment on your listing,...)

Thanks

Hello,
Is this required to get the contact publisher form working? When I fill out the form and send do not receive an email either to the "user" email or to the admin one... eve though i configured it to send to both in the admin panel. Using 3.0.2 with real estate theme 1.0.7 (latest versions)

tried setting up gmail as the mail server just in case... CANNOT GET THE FORM TO WORK AT ALL... with or without the mailserver... BEEN AT IT FOR HOURS!!! PLEASE HELP! THANX!
