Fresh 3.0.2 install, can't select categories
« on: January 16, 2013, 01:07:13 am »
Well, being unable to solve the problem with disappearing user accounts, I have totally erased 3/0/1 installation with all ahnd made things.

Just installed 3.0.2

leaving it virgin in english and with no plugins or actions, created 3 categories.
then created a test user and confirmed him via e-mail and logged in.

pushed Publish you ad for free and... I cannot choose the category. Cursor works, I see categories, but they are unselectable.

p/s/ I am under Chrome, tested under Explorer9 - no change.
All requirements for installation were perfect and green-gulled.

What's wrong with me, hoster or the script - can't launch a simple board for months...

Do you have the checkbox allowing posting to parent catagories checked (ticked). Check allow posting to parent catagories.
Admin, setting, general.

if you talikng about not being able to chose a sub-catagory I do not have the answer.

thanks, tom, that helped  :D

the question is why it is unchecked right after tha installation...

and, i met the bug again - when i logged the test user off, and then tried to login, the saved values the osc offered said:

i deleted the offered login and pass and typed in the e-mail and pass for test user. it's worked.
the problem is (and i don't know why it's not solved yet) that osc saves and copies only the first part of the login mail address (everything till @ ) and then puts it as a user name instead of the full address (i checked the box "remember" when first logged in and see - it works incorrectly)

When you say it saves everything up until the @ and saves it in the user name. Which field in the database it inserting it two? If it is to the s_email then either the user did not enter in their whole address or something is cutting it off as Osclass saves the whole email address in the s_email field.
