What files & folders need to be writable for Auto Upgrade?
« on: April 26, 2012, 07:59:33 am »
I logged into my OSClass install and admin panel notified me that I need to upgrade from 2.3.6 to 2.3.7 and it could not update due write permissions. This message was understandable. I just want to know what files and folders need to be writable for this to work? Does it need to have all files and folders or just specific ones. I would appreciate the clarification. Thanks.

Hi dtcllc,

Set your folders to 755 and files to 644. Most shared hosting sites will give you an error if you set your folders at 777 or 775.
