Displaying the Latest items in Gallery format

I want to display the Latest items in Gallery format instead of listing format. So please help me how to change the code to display the latest items in Gallery format in Home Page.

provided you have the gallery loop created already and you have set your admin settings

you can use code from another theme to get what you want. get code from: function.php , the css , and main.php  and depending on what theme you get it from, you'll need search-gallery.php or gallery.php

You said that the gallery format can be set through the admin setting. So please tell me how to set through admin settings.
