Problem on item-post.php with custom fields

Hi,

I'm getting ready to go live with my site, but I have ran into a problem. When adding a new post, the custom fields( some of which are required) only show up after I have clicked Publish. I have changed themes to bender and it show's up correctly there. I have downloaded the code and tested it on a linux VM on my pc and it appears to be fine there as well. Is it a problem with my host or is there a bug in the code? It was working a few weeks ago when I started building the site.

If it works on bender on same osclass installation, problem is in your theme file

Yeah I've realized that, problem is where is the problem  I've tried rolling back to older backups of the site, almost 2 weeks ago, still same problem. Yet a clean installation of osclass with modern theme on the same server works 100%.

Jip, a evil little gremlin, but I have disposed of him now. I don't know where exactly it was broken, but a fresh install linked to the old DB solved it. I had to copy the theme files that I edited one by one, but its happy now and I am ready to go live tomorrow.
