Payment Gateway for South Africa
« on: January 14, 2016, 01:25:06 pm »
I am looking for a payment gateway for South Africa.

I see the Wallet one plugin but I can't seem to find info on how it actually works at the website is very vague on information on the platform

Anyone used it before?

Also would anyone be able to help me with maybe integrating www.PayFast.co.za , they say they have spoken to OsClass to create a plugin but received no response.

Would I be able to do this myself?

Thanks

Came across this post by chance.  I am busy setting up an Osclass classified site and would like to install a plugin at a later stage to allow premium ads.  By reading your post I understand that there are no plugin for South Africa is that correct, as I am also looking for a payment platform for SA.  I want to purchase and install the Osclass payment Pro plugin have you tried this?  Don't know if this is what you are looking for.

Correct but the plugin configuration does not have a Rand option when configuring?  Is there any way we can change this?

Paypal does not support Rand as a currency, you could make payments in South Africa in other currencies.

I have ended up using the sms feature plugin.
Will look into other options as time goes on.

I am now using the wallet one plugin please go to either of these sites to create a merchant account which is deferent from the normal wallet one account.  It is actually a very powerful system once you register a merchant account and very supportive of south African currency.  If you encounter any hiccups let me know

https://www.walletone.com/en-za/merchant/

 or

https://www.walletone.com/merchant/client/#/signup

Only issue here is that you can't use debit or credit cards.
So for now the SMS method seems better for a start.

I am using 2checkout plugin for my site now.  It is quick and easy to use.  it is accepted in SA with support team in Johannesburg and accepts Rand.  It accepts any debit/credit card with great security like cellphone verification and professional invoicing.

No need for your users to register for an account in order to pay.  Just enter billing info and card number and cvv and bob's your uncle.

the plugin is available in the OSClass store

Hope this helps
