Title: old plugins make new??

hi uhm very simple question
how to make old plugins work on the new versions

what is changed?

80% of my site is made with plugins in the old way
almost all of them dont work in the new versions

atm i have 2.3.7

i want to update to 3.2

what do i need to change to make them work?

Some plugins are pretty much the same.
Others are deprecated. I don't really remember how it was with 2.3.7; could you give an example of a plugin you are using that does not work with 3.2?

lol uhm depend on plugin
some i make from new to old or from very old to the 2.3.7

what i want to know is the basic things why one plugin does not function in a new version

does the new script look in difrent places for files ?
or is it something else
