Title: How to report plugins bugs
Post by: Juan Ramón on September 13, 2011, 04:04:30 pm
If you want to report plugins bug, the best way is writing an issue in github too: https://github.com/osclass/osclass-plugins/issues

This way, we are notified and it's better to keep the progress of the bugs.

Remember that if you want to fix yourselves the bugs, you can pull your code too :)

The above url it's not a plugin for testing, it's where you can report the bugs.

This issue with facebook connect has been reported several times,
here 6 months ago:
https://github.com/osclass/osclass-plugins/issues/72
here in the forum:http://forums.osclass.org/plugins/facebook-connect-log-out-problem/45/
Is this how you respond to bug reports?

Real State attributes 3.2.2 by OSClass Team auto install doesn't work, it works only if you install manually

It seems reports are ignored there.  (and here)

In reading the TOPIC of this (Juan's) thread and most of the other threads. I have to wonder How Juan and the other Great Developers stay sane...... For that matter, this should also include the wonderful contributors too. Seems there are always a handful wanting you to do it all for them, then complain when it is not done YESTERDAY.
I for one - THANK YOU so very much.

Tom

I get annoyed when I see threads with people demanding custom features or help on free software but equally annoyed when bug reports are ignored.

In my case I had egg on my face because the bug I reported was false, it was an error created on my end somehow (still clueless).

But do look at github and see how long bugs have been sitting unacknowledged (a simple we see but decline to fix is better than ignored)

Thank you everyone for your hard work.   :)
