Repurpose changes to Bender
« on: December 18, 2013, 10:46:05 am »
Hello,

I've installed Repurpose and edited it in localhost and that worked fine.
But when I uploaded it to online server it just doesn't work.
I activate it, like shown in attachment, but page shows Bender instead.

Do I have to change all 'repurpose' to something new in every file because I edited it?
Or any other ideas what the problem is?

Thanks in advance
Best regards

Though there may be better answers from  others my first thought is you changed the folder name or altered the theme name in index.php file..... if this is the case then the answer is yes. All related files need changed to reflect the new name in the index file.

I could be mistaken.

Thanks Tom, I've checked, but I haven't change anything in index.php, just some CSS (colors) edits and a few words in main.php which I translated to my language.
Now I uploaded it again on server and it shows it's activated and ok (attached pic) but still when I open page Bender blue shows.
Funny thing is that this happens only when I upload it online on a server, on my localhost using xampp it works flawlessly.

Ok, another stab in the dark.
You may have your answer in your response.
Could it be whatever you changed in the main is nuking the page causing Osclass to switch to the backup bender theme in the gui folder? ???

I know that is really reaching but Xammp has some amazing abilities to overcome script issues whereas hosting providers offer little to no wiggle room. One missing anything can shut a page down when live.
I use wamp and I have seen where if I miss a simple "," , someplace my localhost sometimes will forgive me but online I get hit.

In any case as you see I don't have the answer. Just filling space until teseo or someone that does know responds.  ???

Maybe with this bantering an idea will strike you.

I will try replacing main with original one and see what happens.
Thank you for your time, Tom!
