is there a way to make categories in this style?

   Catagory 1              Catagory 2                Catagory 3
item 1 | item 2          item 1 | item 2          item 1 | item 2
item 3 | item 4          item 3 | item 4          item 3 | item 4  

instead of
Category 1
item 1
item 2
item 3
item 4

is it possible? I hope you can see what i mean here.
