Google "captcha" is VERY user-unfriendly! Why no reload button?
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:07:48 pm »
The Google "captchas" displayed by OSClass seem to be quite hard to solve, significantly harder than most sites.

But what's REALLY frustrating is that, unlike almost every other site using "captchas", there is NO button to RELOAD and display a new code! And what about the button to PLAY audio for blind users? Aren't these standard features of Google's Captchas  and if so, why in the world are they disabled here?

I am getting A LOT of complaints about the difficulty of solving these things, and that the user has to re-enter the entire form contents to get a new code if they can't solve the first one.

IMHO, this should be pretty high on the corrections list. Obviously, Google supports the features, can't they be enabled?

Thank you

It is actually depending on which theme you are using. The twitter theme seems better regarding reCaptcha.

But I agree that the OSClass team ASAP should fix this annoying error on the other themes. They should also provide an alternative to the  reCaptcha.

I found this temporary solution where you can add your own refresh button:
