A chat room wont speed that pace up. On a forum, people can post their questions whenever they want, then when someone comes along with an answer, they can answer.
But a chat room is only useful when both you and someone with an answer/help is online at the exact same moment... which is rare. I myself am in the United States, where as a lot of others are in Europe and other places, making it less likely someone will be around.
The forum is definitely the best place for questions/answers. A chat room is a nice additional feature to have to make instant communication quicker, but it wont help getting "answers" faster, that is for sure.
