Locations based on OpenStreetMap and geolocalized searches

Hello,

I am a french user and I found some missing cities in the locations package. I think that a good solution to avoid this would be to use data from OpenStreetMap.
Moreover, having locations from OSM would offer the possibility to search items by distance. For example, It could be useful to search all items in less than 50 km.

I suggested using OSM as an alternative but nothing yet from the developers.
