Any TUTORIAL for adding city based in region selection at user registration?

Hi folks, does anybody know any TUTORIAL for adding city based in region selection (drop-down list) at user registration?

I want to use city and region drop-down lists at user registration, but when the user selects the region, the city dropdown will only show the cities related to the chosen region and after clicking on register, they will be saved into the user database. I'm using Brazil Theme.
