Was your email working with previous theme? (before installing Paris theme)
Have you tried sending out a testmail through Admin => Mail templates or only through the new theme?
If system says "message sent succesfully" it got sent usually.
If no email is received => meaning message was sent but not received = got hung up somewhere.
1) Did you check your SPAM folder to see if your system mails are marked as spam?
2) Check send mailbox on your hosting account to see if mails are sent and not by any chance waiting in your Outbox.
3) Ask your hosting company if your domain IP address got blacklisted in case you are on shared hosting, you would not be the first. (I think you can even check that yourself, see Google)
