What is the best plugin to prevent SPAM and BOTs?
« on: March 22, 2016, 10:05:50 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I am trying to lock down my website now, I saw some posts about SPAM and BOTS plugin/scripts but not sure which one to use.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

(Also adding SSL cert).

Thanks,

Matt.

Shamim's Google no captcha Re-captcha does a good job on our website.
Any recognized SSL provider will do a fair job in SSLs, depending on your requirements. Just don't use a self-signed.

Hey stevejohnson,

Thanks for the reply.

I have Shamim's Google no captcha Re-captcha on my site now, but it's good to know that it is doing a good job for you.

I wasn't how well it can keep the spam and bots out.

Currently working through the SSL cert tonight.

I wasn't sure if there was anything more i need to do to tighten up the security from bots.

The server itself is pretty secure so i am not worry about that part.

Thanks again for the info.
