"Craigslist" style home page

Is there a away that when someone types in the url to my website the first page tells them to choose a state and then a city? This is all before searching for the items they want.

Also is there a way to delete a lot of cities fast. There are too many cities in osclass and i want to delete a lot of them and keep it small like craigslist.

not sure where you live but here Craigslist is Huge lol
and the very home page of Craigslist is more a map theme, so why not use a map theme, only the map is the exact area you live or want to service?

I would do a map but I want people to pick a city too. So maybe I could do a map and then after they pick a city from a list. This leads then to a page like Craigslist that is only associated with their page and whatever they search is only that city. I don't want them to search the whole USA and then maybe refine their search using the city. I want it to be a page like Craigslist where you select the state and region first
