How do you delete a theme?

I installed the hiearchy theme and can't do anything to edit it.  For some reason it's directory is protected.  I want to delete it, edit up and re upload it but I can't find delete theme option.

Hi slickyv

Did you install the theme by uploading the files or through the admin panel?

If you uploaded it thought the admin panel you will probably have to login to your web host cpanel there is usually a link called something like fix file ownership or something like that and that should allow you to edit the directory.

As far as I know the only way to delete a theme from showing in the themes list is to delete the directory thought ftp.

Thanks for the reply. I uploaded through the admin panel. I have to have my host fix the permissions for me so I can delete it.

You can delete through the ftp removing the theme folder.

For some reason when OSClass installed the theme it set the user as "apache" instead of me.  I had to have my server admin change the settings on his side.  Is there a reason why OSclass installed theme this way?

Had the exact same problem. I could not see anything in Cpanel, but I was able to change ownership with Virtuozzo which was installed on my Virtual Private Server.
