[Solved] Issue with image gallery in IE8 (Bender theme)

Hi folks

I have replaced the ‘image gallery’ on the item page of ‘Bender theme’ with the one that slides on the same page rather than opening on a new window. This works fine on iPhone, iPad, Firefox and Chrome but only the thumbnail shows up on IE8 and when clicked, the picture opens on a new window.  Is there a work around for this?
