Issue with ‘place holder’ for region select on the front page!

Hi

I have included ‘region select’ on the front page but couldn’t get the place holder, eg. ‘Choose a region’ to show. It’s definitely there when I viewed page source. Could someone tell me how to rectify this.

this is a js conflict/error. are you using global.js ? is it in the files that you uploaded?
