Modify Bender to keep categories "minimized"
« on: September 22, 2013, 01:09:07 am »
Hey Everyone,

I would like to modify my Bender theme so that even when the page is viewed on a large screen the categories stay "minimized" just like they are when you decrease the window size and instead of displaying the categories and sub categories, they change into little buttons that only show the main category unless they are clicked on and then expand to show the sub categories.

Any hints on how to keep these from expanding when the window expands? (I would still like the little buttons to spread themselves out to fill the screen like they do already.)

Thanks!

Hello,
I have a bender theme I was playing with but though functional I never finished completely.  My plan was exactly what your asking along with category and sub-category images and yes, it is responsive.

At some time in the future I will complete this with better features, functions and ideas I have.

Maybe it will give you ideas or you could use some of the existing code to accomplish what you want.
I've included images of before clicking a category and after clicking a category.
Here is the download link:

That is exactly how I plan to have it look but haven't yet edited the css files, etc. and not sure when I'll do it so thought if I posted, you or ??? would complete it and re-post for the community. Please re-post it for FREE.

I'll try to find some time soon to do it myself but....

Maybe member BicycleClasssifieds, com can use the theme code...
