How to Change the "User Type" field from Boolean to Normal select input

Hi Guys,
I want to change User Type field to allow users to select from the 3 pre-defined user types
(say: standard, normal, premium),
and the result to be saved in the user table in the DB.
Please note I would prefer the use of select menu as the input.
