Ideas for a banner / ads management system

Hi,

We, at OSClass, want to hear our users what they want for a banner / ads management system. We know that adsense and other types or advertisings are very important in today's websites.

We already have some ideas:
- Stats of every one of them (views, clicks, CPM,...)
- Where/when show them (you may want to show some banners in some specific categories while not in others)
- Integration with popular system (such as adsense, TLA, ...)


We appreciate your comments and ideas.

i would say integration with other systems (adsense // TLA) is less needed just provide a place where we can add the html code int he admin. that way everyone can use it own adnetwork and is convicted to one or other adnetwork around. We will build for example a a adult classifieds network and adsense and other are not accepting our sites.

Also i would love a system where users can submit their own banners, pay for it with paypal and maybe between the classifieds on the search page, and so on.

Well, to solve this can be used Openx for instance and use the code on OsClass layout.

I intend to do this way. Some better idea?

It was mentioned already, but I give a +1 to a place where one could easily add a banner. Allowing "à lá Wordpress" widget to be place on sidebar/header with HTML code would be cool!

Statistics for number of views on each item, etc would also be VERY cool.

It would be great to add this feature, but it is not nessecary at this time! There are some bugs which are awaiting to be fixed. I preffer to add adsense code in top and in bottom of page, but widgets don't work properly.

Agreed, bugs should be prioritised, after that focus on other bits that'll make this the BEST classifieds framework in PHP!

Should make a featured carousel on the home page and in the category the item is posted.
When you pay $__.00 using PayPal, your post becomes featured for a week -
on the home page carousel and the top of the category on each page (even when switching pagination).

Better revenue than third-party ads.

I have used a carousel on my website calling the 12 latest items. It works almost as a charm. Your idea is excellent. If you make a query on the premium ads, I guess you can easily include it.
