facebook plug in working !
« on: April 11, 2014, 12:15:37 am »
Hi all - had the same problem as reported by several others, then I found this :

Go to the app you want for user login on the Facebook Developers page
Click on the settings tab
Click add platform
Select Website
After selection it will ask for some details such as URL for your website which uses login with facebook feature, fill the form and submit it
That's all and you are done. Make sure that the app's URL is the same as the place where you're logging in from.

and it worked !!!

You don't have any problem with log-out after installing the plugin?

thanks...

Hi...
I am quite unfamiliar with social media as well as Facebook. I wish to use the Facebook login facility on Osclass, and I see I need to obtain a "appld and secret". Do I actually have to register to obtain these 2 pieces of info??

I have tried your suggestion going to the Apps page with logging in. However this seems to have changed. I do not find the Settings tab. That could be because I have not logged in???

Can you possibly help me.

you need to register as a app developer.  then need to apply as if you are developing an app.
