Email templates and https / SOLVED

After I moved from http to https version of my site, I am not able, any more, to send image files via email notifications.   :'(

In the tinymce editor, I already replaced the img urls from the src="http://mysite/img-folder/logo.jpg" to src="https:"//mysite/img-folder/logo.jpg ", but nothing has changed.

Also, I have tried to send emails through all ports (465,585,993). Emails go out, but no pictures.

I tried to change, postfix with exim, but it's always the same thing.

However, when the image url is from the outside world (e.g. https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/mybucket/logo.jpg), the recipient normally gets an email with a picture.


I use a cloud VPS, centos 7, php 7, mariadb

Review your SSL configuration and your .htaccess if you have modified it.

It looks like you are accessing the picture directly, so it has nothing to do with Osclass but with your server/SSL configuration.

start with the basic, if you image accessible if you enter the url on the browser?
why is it not showing on the emails? 404 error? 500 error? blocked due to other reasons?

Yes, image is accessible on the browser

No errors in Outlook Express just cross mark.

I just notice that the image is visible on the gmail and zoho server, but when I pull the message on my pc, once again, no pictures, just a cross sign. It didn't happen when I used the http version of my site.

Then it looks like some sort of misconfiguration with outlook express

I'm finally found a solution that works for me.

In the/etc/httpd/httpd.conf

I have replaced:

< VirtualHost *: 80 >
Servername lakioglasi.com
Redirect permanent/https://lakioglasi.com/
</VirtualHost>

with

< VirtualHost *: 80 >
Servername lakioglasi.com
RewriteRule! ^ images/https://lakioglasi.com/[L, R = 301]
</VirtualHost>

This allows https redirect to all urls except for those that contain the word "images"

Now the pictures are visible in Outlook Express, also :)
