‘Modern’ theme, did I miss anything?

So many CSS codes under the ‘modern’ theme…, but still pages looks so simple and basic.
In ‘twitter’ theme - for example, the input/text/dropdown boxes are designed with gradient and border color etc’.

Did I miss anything?
Does the ‘modern’ theme is using the full design capability of its CSS files?

Intresting question, what can CSS offer? Everything and nothing, all important offers CSS3, but you can see compatibility table there:
