Hi,

I was trying to manual update from 2.4.1 to 3.0 but after copied the new files the admin page could not be loaded.
My website is on 000webhost.
1, I took backup of my database and my files
2, I disabled permalinks
3, I uploaded the new files (uploaded every files and folders except the new modern theme and the favicon)
4, I was trying to go to admin page (http://mysite/oc-admin) but the page was loading for a while then nothing happened.

Now I can reach my site (http://usaclassifieds.tk/) but I can't reach the admin page (http://usaclassifieds.tk/oc-admin/) so I can't finish the update.

Sorry for my bad english and I hope somebody has any suggestion

Thank you

Can you try checking your error log and report back if there are any errors.

Thanks

You could try changing the code in the index.php file of your theme. Here is the wiki doc that states how to make the changes.

Hi jay

Thanks for pointing that out but it's still not loading and I have noticed that when I tried to auto update sellrent.co.uk it didn't work so I done that manually to see if I got the same result and now it's stuck in maintainence mode and also unable to use admin panel on that site also... Can you suggest anything else?

When i goto www.stuff4sale.gb.net/oc-admin it redirects to http://www.stuff4sale.gb.net/oc-admin/index.php?page=login but then it tells me the page can't be displayed because the server stopped responding also the same when I go to www.sellrent.co.uk/oc-admin it redirects to http://sellrent.co.uk/oc-admin/index.php?page=login with the same response

Thank you

Hi,

This may work. There is a minor function name misspelling which could be causing this error here is the github page that shows the changes to the file oc-includes/osclass/utils.php

https://github.com/osclass/OSClass/commit/33f572854d9c59fadf152e6d95a212335d0aa28a

I have also changed that line of code and still the same problem a fresh install worked no problem for syuff4sale.gb.net so there's no problem on 000webhost server for v3 but I don't really want to have a fresh install for sellrent.co.uk So I'm keen to get this sorted ASAP of possible

Thank you

Hi guys,

This may or may not work but try checking the permissions of the oc-admin folder and make sure they are not set at 777 the proper permissions should be 755.
