Installation does not go past step 2: Target

Hi Devs,

Is this issue going to be acknowledged/looked at?

Ive heard great things about this script, ive tested the demo, done my research for classified scripts, came up with a shortlist of 4 and chose it over Geodesic(price wasnt an issue at all) which was going to be my initial script.

But since downloading the package to install on my server I am getting stuck at step 2 like everyone else. I am putting in 'Australia' and simply clicking next, the ajax animation starts briefly then stops. Ive checked the error log and CHMOD a few files before I could even get to this step 2, but now it seems like im stuck, no more errors in the log so Im not sure how to proceed.

Like the other users, the config file is being created, but since it wont pass step 2 it doesnt matter, if you try to re-load the index.php it says that OClass isnt installed and requests to go through the installation again.

Please note I run a production environment on this VPS which im trying to install OSclass too. I meet all the requirements easily, ive run a XenForo forum on it for over 2 years, ive had wordpress, joomla ... you name it so the server is not the issue I dont think. I cannot even remember the last time I had an issue with setting up a well-known/recommended script, its always been so easy.

There is definatley an issue, all these users cant be a coincidence.

Am really keen to try this script out and I will be of value(small) to the community like I am with XenForo. First i need to set it up though

Any help, advise, status on this 'bug' would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Same problem with installation here, only I get to step 3 and then error 500 when I click next to finish. Please help!

Wow, devs manage to delete my post but totally ignore the issues with this script.

Amazing script with huge potential, terrible and shitty support people, stay AWAY! This script is an inch from being totally abandoned.

I have to agree with you OSClass is an amazing script. This script however is in no where near being abandoned.

As for why your install gets stuck at step 2 I am not totally sure I have tried many many times to reproduce this problem and have been unsuccessful. One thing you could try is with firebug or chrome developer tools is watch the console for when it runs the ajax call and maybe it will tell you why it stopped.

I'm not sure that it will help anyone else, but I was able to get past this. Based on Maxo's hunch earlier in the thread, I tried selecting a smaller geographical area (my state instead of the whole country) and got through immediately. Hopefully this helps someone else!
