Installation does not go past step 2: Target

Hello,

I have just downloaded OSClass and I'm trying to install it.

I chose South Africa as country in the Location section, pressed Next, and the page just hangs.

Tried it a few times.

Do you not like South Africa? 

Can you maybe help?

Try without specifying any country during the installation


You can add it/them later, when the installation is finished, from the administration panel

Thanks for trying but you can't pass this stage if you don't put a country in.

The country field is borderd with a Red border, and you stay on the same page.

"sudáfrica"

as I noticed the geo-service looking for names of countries returns some names in Spanish!

I deleted everything, dropped the database and started from the beginnig, now, it doesn't even go throught step one.

The page just hangs.

Hi Sigal,

I had a similar problem. You need to make sure mysqli extension in php.ini is enabled.

What says the Requirements page at the beginning of your installation?

I am having to same problem but i installed and uninstalled like 10 times and i get to the 2nd set where i says to enter your country/ city and nothing it barely lets me type it in and then when i press next it goes back to the top all else is correct.

I am a 1st time user and i am getting so frustrated that i thinking the the other wordpress classified ads theme was less work to install.


I need some real help now so to complete my setup/ installation.

Nothing happens it just redirects to the top of the page and here is a screen shot this is really maddening.

It won't let me pass to the next step!!!!

Hi Guys! i'm having the same problem

In my localhost with AMPPS works great, but in my hosting (FatCow) i get the same problem, the instalation get stuck in step2 it doesn't load the Location info.

How can i solve/Debug that?

This seems to be a common theme and no answer yet.
I too have this problem.  I'm on windows server 2003, with Mod_rewrite, mysql, etc. 
I have many php applications running without any problems.

I created the database manually, database user manually.

Step 1/  The tables get created and the admin user gets inserted into oc_t_admin.

Step 2/ Have to enter the country into the field (even though I'd like this to be international).
           Select 1 country then page just hangs on this step with little flash wheel spinning.

I notice the config.php file is created with correct data in it, so I navigate to root/index.php and I get the message "OSClass isn't installed" with the install button below.


If anyone has figured this out, could you please update/advise here?

This is just a guess, but I wonder if it could be a php.ini setting issue like memory or runtime limitation? When installing, maybe osclass imports/downloads geodata for country and it is either running out of memory or not having enough time to complete? Again, it's just a guess.
