There doesn't seem to be a config.php file. Osclass isn't installed. Need more help?  Install

I uploaded the zip file and extracted...went to the domain and I keep getting errors. I know I am missing something. Help?

Which version of PHP are you using?

PHP 5.6 is required, but PHP 7.x is recommended

I am using Dreamhost shared hosting, running PHP 5.6 (FastCGI) for this domain. I have tried (CGI) and 7.1 (both CGI and FastCGI). 7.1 gives an error with mysqli.

Wait, if the error is that "osclass isn't installed", then it that the database / tables exists but are empty or not correctly setup.

Remove your tables/database, remove your config.php file and try to install Osclass again.

If you error is the one on the main post, first don't hijack topic for other things, create a new one or search a proper topic that talks about your issue (and not a different one!), second, specify your PHP version.

So, I saw this in the first post:

Osclass » Error

There doesn't seem to be a config.php file. Osclass isn't installed. Need more help?  Install

That is what I am getting.

I have no config.php, and I only have a blank DB waiting for the install to populate it.

When I click on Install it loads oc-includes/osclass/install.php and then the page displays the very same error:

Osclass » Error

There doesn't seem to be a config.php file. Osclass isn't installed. Need more help?

Install

maybe your script doesn't have correct write permission, to create/write the file

check your server's error log to see what is happening, but it's very strange
