Unable to use subdomain on OSclass
« on: January 21, 2017, 09:38:41 am »
I want to use the subdomain on my website, I have followed all steps given on this link :https://dev.osclass.org/2013/07/19/use-categories-countries-regions-or-cities-as-subdomains/

As I am using shared cpanel hosting, I am unable to edit the virtual host because my hosting provider can't give the access to httpd config file. Please suggest me how I can make it work?

I'm in shared hosting, though a high-end one (called semi-dedi). I was able to use that with one change in DNS (for wildcard dns) and one change in osclass config.php. Nothing else. No vhost, nothing.

Ask your provider.

Also keep in mind that using subdomains for something (i had it for Countries), while technically works, it creates a GREAT confusion to the visitors.

Because it is partly implemented. Not SEOed at all and you can't search withing the subdomain.

Personally i removed it after 1+ year of usage.
