Help needed for a large project.
« on: February 14, 2012, 07:03:39 am »
First of all I'm located in Los Angeles California.

I'm most interested in re-purposing the OSClass Software (Which is terrific but overkill for my purpose.

Two Categories:

1. FREE - FOR SALE Category: With at most 10 Sub-Categories

2. PAID - WANTED Category: with up to 100 Sub-Categories

Posting FOR SALE (Editable until the post is removed by the user who created the post):

The Category would be searchable and the Title of the post would just be  to highlight/enhance the sale (Not searchable)

The following fields would be required:

  1) Zip Code (Searchable) Taken from the user's registration but can be changed to list another location.
  2) Start Date and Time
  3) End Date and Time (End date +1 the post is automatically removed if the user hasn't renewed the start/end dates)
  4) Cross Streets Preferred/Street Address
  5) City/Village/Town (automatically filled in from zip code selection) (Searchable)
  6) Regions (automatically filled in from zip code selection) (Searchable)
  7) State (automatically filled in from zip code selection) (Searchable)
  8) Description of sale/items

9)-40) Individually Selectable & Searchable Items any number or combination (Example use radio buttons: Electrical, Toys, baby clothes, children clothes, designer clothes, jewelry, sporting equipment, books, games, electronics, housewares etc) any number selectable.

Directions provided by Google Maps or MapQuest using Field 1 & Field 4.

Option to send listing with directions.

No pricing unless the user provides in the description.

PAID - WANTED Category: with up to 100 Sub-Categories

Minimum monthly fee for items being sought. Sub-Categories would include missing dishes and silverware from sets, outdated electronic/computer parts & supplies, specific pieces of furniture to complete sets etc.

Hopefully this will present a challenge and interest in helping me out.

Thank you all very much,

Mac
