pages links?

What would be an easy way to make the extra pages I have created in dashboard be more prominent than the footer, like a side bar that is in twitter theme? or drop down window? I have tryed just inserting the links within the footer code into the header just below the login button but couldnt get it to show up. I have been doing nothing but breaking code for days  

I also want a simple link to my twitter and facebook pages (not like button)

Any help greatly appreciated.
